To Keiichi's surprise, it was for real, and Belldandy has to stay with him forever. This gets Keiichi kicked out of the dorm, which doesn't allow women. So Keiichi and Belldandy goes off to search for a place to stay, and they eventually end up in an old temple, where they will begin their new life.

A charming romance story between Keiichi and Belldandy, it is also, unfortunately, very short. There is also a semblance of a plot in the last couple of episodes, but it doesn't hold up due to certain circumstances (possibly time restrictions? I could have imagined so many ways for it to have been improved). Also, Belldandy as a character is pretty weak. Plenty of development, yes, but she's like a doormat. The minor characters, as well as Keiichi, are what make this anime go. Urd and Skuld, Belldandy's two sisters, as well as Keiichi's sister Megumi and his upperclassmen, all work together to make this show even better. I guess the reason I like this anime so much is that I'm a big sucker for love stories. I enjoy watching them, and this one is a very well presented love story.

Likes - Characters; situations; nice love story
Dislikes - Belldandy; too short; unsatisfying ending; not much of a plot development

I've only watched the movie version, but I actually liked that one. The graphics are extremely nice, and i like the way they interpreted the nordic mythology into a strange and appealing parallel universe. I even believe that the word Belldandy (in japanese pronounced "bere-dahn-dee") is actually a funny derivation of the character "Verdandi" in the northern mythology. The names Urd, Skuld and Yggdrasil clearly come directly from this mythologi! - See http://www.angelfire.com/on/Wodensharrow/yggtexts.html

It's maybe a *little* too sugar-sweet and cute for my taste. A little more roughness would have improved the whole thing.

It's a rare thing for anyone to realize what's truly important in life. I think that's why I like this anime so much. I recommend to everyone.
