Cowboy Bebop is a very famous anime, and has been so for quite a while now. I had begun watching the series after hearing all the hype about it, and after watching the series I can definitely say it has the goods to back up that hype. The series has a manga version which is also very popular now.
Cowboy Bebop is basically about a guy named Spike who becomes a bounty hunter (or Cowboy), the friends he meets along the way (who later become Cowboy's with him), the criminals that they catch, and how each of the main characters reveals and handles their past. All of this happens in a futuristic world, where jumping into hyper space to go to the next planet is easily possible. Even though the story is set in the future, the series has an old school feel to it, where every thing is jazzed up and smooth.

The action in this series can be very intense, with guns, ships, fists, airplanes, you name it. There are bloody scenes where people kill and get killed. Although those type of scenes don't frequently come a lot, but when they do come, they will vigorously grab your attention. The comedy of this series is widely enjoyable, especially when a female character named Ed is introduced into the story. The music is unlike any other. I have spent a good amount of time just playing the intro over and over again just to hear the amazingly fitting and catchy music of this series. Trust me when I say the music of
Cowboy Bebop will be one of the best and unique tunes you will ever hear in any anime.
The characters of
Cowboy Bebop are all unique. First is Spike, the main character. He became a bounty hunter after a dangerous escape from a large criminal organization (Yakuza). Then there is his partner who owns the ship they fly in, Jet. He is an ex-cop with a cybernetic arm, who is out to find fugitives, and bring them back to justice. Next is the sexy and most vivacious female of the group, Fay Valentine. She is a wanted criminal who only thinks about money, and paying off some absurd amount of debt she owes. The final members of the group is an extremely intelligent genetically engineered dog named Ein, and a very wacky and wierd little girl who goes by the name Ed. Ed is also a super genius when it comes to hacking computers, electronics, and games.
Finally, the story of
Cowboy Bebop is the last impression of this series that must be pressed upon. It can be simply be put as marvelous yet wittingly impressive. Each characters past unveiled further develops the story to a final conclusion.
With a mediocre 26 episodes for this stupendous series, I have come to a conclusion that the series could of been longer. For some reason I felt they rushed the ending to fast, and could of spent more time on creating more adventures in between the series. That is why
Cowboy Bebop received a 4.75 instead of the full 5. Lastly, I would like to recommend this series to any anime loving fan with just a little taste for some thing worth while.
