Quite possibly the most creative anime I've ever seen. I expected no less from the studio that goes by the name of Gainax (Evangelion, Kare Kano, Mahoromatic, to name a few). The action scenes are also fantastically animated. In fact, all of the animation is superb. The music also fits the anime perfectly, as much of it is centered around guitars, Haruka's main weapon. Naota, on the other hands, has the most HILARIOUS way of fighting that I've ever seen. I mean, I nearly crapped my pants the first time I saw it (that's a pun, by the way. You need to watch FLCL NOW!!!). Also, despite being an action anime, FLCL has a good and totally unexpected plot to it. FLCL is, and always will be, one of my favorite anime.
