Hunter X Hunter
Genre(s):  Action, Comedy
Released:  1999
Episodes:  62 TV

Hunter X Hunter is about a boy named Gon Freaks who is looking for his father who is a very famous and powerful Hunter. In order to do so, Gon must first become a Hunter himself to gain a vast amount of knowledge and resources from the Hunter Organization to help him search for his father. The series mostly focuses on the Hunter exam Gon has to take in order to become a Hunter, and the people who he meets while taking it.

4.5/5
I first started watching this series from a recommendation from my friend, and it turned out to be quite a jewel. In fact it got a wopping 4.5 out of 5, here are the details not already mentioned in the synopsis:

The animation in Hunter X Hunter is well drawn and most of the art work is very smooth. The sound is above average at most, but the intro/outro make up for it because they are really quite catchy, and well written (although they may seem short.) The character design and personalities are top notch, with each and every character having their own special attributes that makes them shine.

The story is what really pieces this great anime together very nicely. It may confuse people though, because even though it is about Gon looking for his father, it mainly focuses on him meeting new people, and having his own little adventures. Their is also a fair amount of humor added here and their to really make this anime very enjoyable.

Overall I would recommend Hunter X Hunter to anyone who likes any type of action/adventure/comedy or just good fun in an anime. Those of you (and I know their are many), who watch the anime Naruto will LOVE this one, I guarentee you that.

So What Are You Waiting For??? GO GET IT NOW!!!

Well watching it first episode :D

Does it have recurrent flashbacks during fight sequences like Naruto? Do they start the fight with "Hey, lets have a cup of coffee while I tell you the time in the past episode, I was nearly killed by.... " , , , , , , , , , , ,. It seems that every character mastered the dreaded Flashback-no-jutsu to stretch each episode of Naruto for optimum profit...

No, HxH is better than Naruto in many ways. It actually shares my favorite shounen anime spot with One Piece. I've only seen the first 26 episodes of either anime, but watching HxH always puts me in a good mood. On top of that, the music is fantastic!
