For fans of
Wild Arms III, you'll absolutely love
URDA's animation style: entirely cel-shaded CG graphics. While the visual presentation of
URDA is pretty cheesy and well... crappy, the story is one of the most intriguing tales I've seen in a very long time.
URDA manages to accomplish in 25 minutes (the entire length of the series) what would take many TV series a full 26 episodes to accomplish. Every major character is very well developed (all of the minor characters die, no need to develop them), and each have totally original designs and personalities. And then... oh man, there's the time-travel story. Oh wait, I've already mentioned the story. Well, the ending will NOT disappoint. It's a little on the depressing side though so only watch this if you have something to cheer you up right after (might I suggest
Azumanga Daioh?). It's nowhere near the depression scale as
Grave of the Fireflies,
Kanon, or
Revolutionary Girl Utena, but it's pretty good.
