Still trying to contact Mejerr and Taraak, as well as trying to escape from the Earth forces, the crew of the Nirvana come across a strange pod being attacked by some of the Earth machines. When they rescue the pod from the machines, they discover that there is a woman living inside that had lived in a place where men and woman coexisted. With an eye for Hibiki, what kind of chaos will she bring to the Nirvana, and how will Dita feel?

Being able to watch 2nd stage is easily worth putting up with the first series. It takes the plot and brings it one step forward. Although, unfortunately, it still shares the "harem" genre with the 1st stage. The first three or four episodes continue with the trend the first stage started. Except christmas has already been done, so here are the first four episodes: birthday, baby is born, new female is introduced, birthday. After that, however, it goes right into Thinker mode (Thinker is my genre label for either confusing anime or insightful anime) and fleshes out the amazing plot even further. The new mecha designs are also reeeally amazing, especially the Vandread.

Likes - Great, new character and mecha designs; almost no emphasis on fan service; original and thought-provoking plot
Dislikes - First half is standard harem anime fare; Pyoro is even more annoying than before; the new baby brings a whole new level of annoyance
